These objects had both practical and ritual significance. Their functional purpose was to hunt river dolphins and Mugger crocodiles. They were found clustered in votive hordes, some purposely bent presumably as a sacrifice. These three harpoons offer strong graphics, a deep green patina, and a fascinating art history.
