This salt mortar is exceptionally beautiful in shape and form and is enhanced by a center marking etched out from ethnographic use and giving it a “Zen” like quality. Hawaiian salt is prized all over the world. This piece is very likely to be 19th Century or earlier and comes from an old Hawaiian Collection.
